mounting virtual hdd

hi everyone,
i have a suse box which has xen installed. i have created a virtual machine which has hda, hdb disks. now that i want to mount these virtual disks on the suse box. i came to know that the following command is used to mount the virtual hdd's:

lomount -t -diskimage ../path/hda.img -partition 1 /mnt

but the error i am getting is :
MBR signature mismatch (invalid partition table)

can any one plz tell me where i am going wrong??
and whtz the filesystem of the virtual hdd's>>

Did you create any partitions or filesystems on the virtual disks? A disk (real or virtual) is not mountable unless you do.

Also, you don't mount a disk, you mount a partition

yes i get u now.i havent created any partitions or filesystem on the virtual disks.
