Question Mounting NFS User Dir On Login

Here's the situation...

I have a few workstations lingering around that house users whose home directories I need to backup. In order to make the backup of such directories scale well, I figured I would like to have each user nfs-mount their respective home dir on login. Thus leaving the physcial directories on one file-server making life for me MUCH easier with respect to backing up their files.

My question is, how can I go about having each user nfs-mount ONLY their directory upon logon? I had thought of simply having each workstation mount the file-server's /home dir but would rather only mount the individual users dir instead.

Do you know of a way to implement this? I do not want to use NIS and would rather make use of LDAP if such thing would even come into play.
