Mounting a drive

Would someone have the time and patience to explain to me how to mount a hard drive?
The drive its formatted using NTFS and runs on Windows.

Im a newbie with Linux, but a quick learner.

Thanks in advance,
-D.

Actually this is asked all the time, have you tried searching as its been answered many many times before as well on this site and forum?

Don't take this personally as a RTFM, I'm just trying to make it aware on repeat questions to eliminate us from just repeating ourselves on the most commonly asked questions.

Welcome to linux and linuxquestions.

Have you searched the website yet? You will find lots of posts with beginner questions related to this topic and more. It would be nice if you posted the linux distribution you are using.

For starters:

I found a linux reference book very usefull when first starting out. It helped me having something in hand.

Thanks!

Searched forums and found that the easiest way is just to go to root, mnt, etc and find the mp3s there... not the easiest, but works for me!

Thanks!
