mount usbfs?


I was trying to configure my usb adsl modem.
i write cxstart.sh at /usr/sbin and this error occured:
mount: usbfs already mounted or /proc/bus/usb busy
mount: fs type usbdevfs not supported by kernel

i tried umount usbfs but then this error occured:
umount: usbfs: not found

can anybody help?

What is this cxstart.sh script do? Or what is it trying to do that is causing a mount issue?

cxacru = conexant accessrunner
i have a usb adsl modem with conexant chipset
i downloaded cxacru
i did these with the instructions of howtos
