mount local ntfs with samba

Hi

Is it possible to mount a local ntfs partition with samba and then access to it with read/write support? I running fedora core 4 and have 2 ntfs partitions from a XP installation and would like to write to them. I know that 2.6 kernel has support if the file size dont change. Also captive will do the trick but when starting windows a disk check is done...

No, samba is only a networking service that implements windows SMB & CIFS protocols. It knows nothing about writing to a filesystem and it is windows that actually does the writing over the network.
