Mount ext2, ext3 in win2k?

All,

Anyone know how to mount an ext2 and/or ext3 partition in win2k? I tried assigning a drive letter to the partitions, which worked fine, but when I try to access the drive from explorer, it wants to format it (definetely NOT what I want windoze to do!).

Thanks.

Thanks linuxcool. I'll check it out in more detail later this week, as I have to travel for a client tomorrow. On a quick review, it looks like it will do the trick nicely.

ext3 fs on soft raid

I have installed ext3 on a system using software raid two disk mirror

I have /boot and /root both setup for ext3

I have an initrd

my deal is how do I test it short of pulling the plug?

One thing says it's there and the other says it's not.

I am leaning towards it's not...

[root@alpha /root]# cat /proc/mounts
/dev/root / ext2 rw 0 0
/proc /proc proc rw 0 0
/dev/md0 /boot ext3 rw 0 0
none /dev/pts devpts rw 0 0
automount(pid763) /misc autofs rw 0 0
//winme/pub /lan/winme smbfs rw 0 0
//win98/pub /lan/win98 smbfs rw 0 0
[root@alpha /root]#

[root@alpha /root]# mount
/dev/md1 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
/dev/md0 on /boot type ext3 (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
automount(pid763) on /misc type autofs (rw,fd=5,pgrp=763,minproto=2,maxproto=3)
//winme/pub on /lan/winme type smbfs (0)
//win98/pub on /lan/win98 type smbfs (0)

Also should it be installed by doing

tune2fs -j /dev/md0

or

tune2fs -j /dev/hda1
tune2fs -j /dev/hdb1

or does it matter

I guess this was a bad place to post this.... sorry!
