Cool mount error


hi,
i tried to mount /home to a new partition /dev/sda2, the entry i provided in /etc/fstab is

/home /dev/sda2 ext3 defaults 0 0

when i give the command "mount -a", it give the output like /home not a block device.. pls help me to solve this issue.. this is rhel5 o/s running on virtualbox..

Hello,

You got your order wrong. Look at the man page for mount:
Code:
man mount
It should be
Code:
/dev/sda2 /home
instead of
Code:
/home /dev/sda2
