Most expensive Linux you have ever seen?

Just curious. I encountered while ago in http://www.sot.fi hugely expensive Palvelin (Server) Linux pack that had 2 huge manuals (300 and 1000 pages) with it and free tech support for 3 months and Palvelin SOT Linux offcourse +source + program library CD's.

Price tag was 790 €

And that, sir, is too much for Linux! :tisk:

never heard of this distro it looks good but then so do some many others!!! its best to stick to well known ones such as, Suse, REDhat, Mandrake, Debian, Slackware, these are some of the main distro's out there with proabably very good support an d your bound to find people who actually use these distro so they can help u alot more then someone who hasnt used athat distro ??

anyone agree or disagree ?

That's cheap. Suse starts at around 800.- Euros for the same stuff and RH won't be lower. Suse Firewall is 1300.- Euro - that's just the firewall. This may come as a shock but those people run companies and have to pay bills. Try to get the same stuff from M$ or as Unix.

Support for those 'more server' distros is just much more expensive than a normal one.
And many people think that cheaper is worser. So what wold they think about such 1000 Euro distro? It's good! :)

SOT Linux got 5 cows from tucows...
Not bad from my point of view, only thing I need now is cdrom.img to get it running in test machine. :(
