i've found that limewire is ugly, slow and bloated. if you want a decent gnutella client that loads in seconds, and does a better job, and still looks user friendly, go to http://gtk-gnutella.sourceforge.net
I tried to use gtk-Gnutella, but it won't download anything from behind my linux firewall. Is there any way around this? Or any other client that will work? I know that Morpheus on Windows works just fine.
KaZaA for linux is avaliable at www.kazaa.com. The only other one's ive tried were Limewire, gtk-gnutella, Napshare (didnt work), and Qtella (also didnt work).
qtella doesn't ever connect right after installing. I had to look around the forums for comments regarding the hosts to connect to.
In the configure window, where the AutoConnect Hosts are listed (connect1.gntellanet.com:6346, etc, etc. remove those 4. They just never connect. Add a new one called connect3.bearshare.net:6346. Works good.
