more linux os's using same swap partition


Hello
I got Redhat 8.0
i got 192 mb ram,and an 500mb big swap drive
i would like to install slackware 8.1,but can i install it,so it should use that swap drive,so i dont need to create a new one?
would it work?
if yes,please tell me how

You don't need to create new swap partition. The old one will do (and I guess it will be automatically detected, so you don't need to do anything special).

Yes you can use the same swap partition...most modern distros will know that you already have a swap partition and will ask to initialize it. They will also know that you have other linux partitions if you already have them partition into Type 83.

ok
i made a partiton
my swap is a subpartition of an extended type one,its logical
with partition magic,i made another,but it put it as a subpartitiobn for that extended one,and as logical(its ext3)
i tried to install trustix first(want to have 3 linuxes),a server orientated linux
cd boot wouldnt work
i ran rawrite
so i booted from floppy
it goes well
after mounting and many things it gives:received signal 11..installation aborting
any ideeas?
