modules.conf configuration problem

Hey guys. I'm trying to make my SoundBlaster Live! value card the default audio device on my Mandrake 9.2 system. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the way it is loaded in modules.conf, but not sure. I want to keep the other device (C-Media onboard sound) loaded for times when I will use both at the same time, but I also want XMMS and other media players to know that the SB Live! card is the default. Here's what my modules.conf file looks like right now:

alias sound-slot-0 snd-cmipci
above snd-emu10k1 snd-pcm-oss
probeall usb-interface usb-uhci
alias eth0 3c59x
probeall scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi
alias sound-slot-1 snd-emu10k1
above snd-cmipci snd-pcm-oss

AFAIK there is no way to make one default over the other. Though you could create your own script possibility to disable one by removing the module and loading the other, and vice versa, etc.

But most of the time if you have two, there's no way to make one default over the other that I know of.
