modprobe

Hi,

I must load "modprobe eeprom" at sturtup with linux SuSE.

What is the file that I must edit?

With linux mandrake the file is /etc/modules but in SuSE it there isn't!

Thanks

typically the file is /etc/modules.conf but I don't use suse so they may use something different.

You can throw 'modprobe eeprom' at the end of your /etc/rc.local file and it will get executed, but this is not a particularily elegant solution.

Try 'locate modules.conf' and see if you can find it.

you have to create an alias in the /etc/modules.conf file

alias module_name interface_name

'man modules.conf' for more info
