modified mouse grub

In Wikipedia article about GNU GRUB, it says.. "GRUB can be used with a variety of different user interfaces. Most Linux distributions take advantage of GRUB's support for a graphical interface to provide a customized boot menu with a background image, and occasionally mouse support. GRUB's text interface can be set to use a serial link to provide a remote terminal boot loader access." So, is there any distribution or can I modify grub to make mouse working when grub is loaded so that i can select menu with mouse? Also.. can I modify the grub's table interface to icon interface without re-getting source code or if I have to get and compile source code, is there a way?

GRUB Legacy, as far as I know, doesn't support anything like that unless you're a real hungry coder :) Don't know about GRUB 2's yet-unstable releases, haven't tried and probably won't before they're close to something I can rely on.

Read GRUB website rather than Wikipedia, if you want the facts about GRUB. If you want to know about what a skilled coder could do with GRUB sources, or something else, then read Wikipedia. Note that it's written by anyone, not necessarily a person who knows things well - some of the content, I understand, is completely based off hearsays.
