Modconf - Unresolved Symbols


Hi Guys,

I'm having few problems with modules installation. I'm running Debian, Kernel 2.4.21. Following are the errors i get when i try to install modules with modconf.

depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/input/mousedev.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/net/bcm4400.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/scsi/sg.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/sound/es1371.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/sound/sound.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/sound/uart401.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/sound/via82cxxx_audio.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/usb/host/ehci-hcd.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/video/vga16fb.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/fs/smbfs/smbfs.o

If one could help me out how to solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Modules are compiled for another kernel so the dependencies
You have to compile them and use the kernel 2.4.21 modules not earlier ones.
