My computer (Mandrake 9.0 with KDE 3.0) was running well until last night. When I woke up today suddenly I found everything gone bad. First, all items on panel became useless. Items on panel stopped working. Then I found several applications suddenly missing. Those applications include Mandrake control center and netscape browser. I'm not sure about mandrake control center but netscape is missing not only in menu but also in entire hard drive!! Contents and form of menu also changed. Programs that used to be in the menu disappeared and programs that weren't in menu suddenly appeared. KDE control module failed and list of possible reason it gave me includes; "You have old third party modules lying around".... I did absolutely nothing yesterday to cause all this. I certainly didn't uninstall netscape.... What's happening to my computer....

Well, to start off, what have you done so far to try and check to see what happened ? Maybe reboot first, check your log files, etc ??
Is this computer connected to a network or some kind ?
