Mirroring Hard Disk
 
My server has a 10gb HD and I just about to replace it with a 40gb HD.
What is the best way of transfering the server OS from the old 10gb to the new 40gb.

since *everything* on Linux is a file, you could use dd, cp or tar.
if you dont want to mess with that, you can use partimage to make an image (can be bzip compressed) of the disks partitions and unpack em on the new disk.
