Sorry if this sounds like I'm talking down to you but are your sure you're clicking the minimize button on the window? Which desktop environment is this? Gnome, KDE, XFCE, something else?
Can I ask how you no it shutdown ... could it just be out of your reach like u just cant open it again or do u have a definate way to no its shutting down... when you minimize do you see a bunch of black squares shrinking in size to a corner of the screen?
i dont finding the program, and i dont see black srinking squares. when i minimize it, the window shrinking and dissapear in the middle of the screen. i dont find it on the toolbar either.
I feel you, I run linux mint 7 and after installing some updates I have the same problem!
