minicom VT100 emulation
 
does minicom's VT102 emulation work like VT100 emulation? i can't seem to connect to a router via serial port.

Any other tips to do this under RHL 8.0?

Minicom's emulation works pretty well for me when connecting to Cisco equipment and Sun systems. Do you have the proper cable type for your router?

i'm connecting to a Cisco 4000 and I am using a straight serial cable connection. it works find in hypterminal but can't connect using minicom. i've check the serial port settings, changed the baud rate etc.

i'll try it tomorrow. got tired of it. :)
