microsoft office word 2003 help
Hi,
I'm running Microsoft Office 2003 on CrossOver Office Pro 5.0.1. I can't copy anything from an x-window or x-term into ms word 2003 without ms word 2003 crashing. On the crossover user guide they give this advise:
Code:
7.1.3.8.17. How do I copy and paste to and from my xterm?
By default CrossOver only uses the clipboard accessed by explicit operations via the edit menu or control keys. CrossOver does have a setting that allows pasting to an X application via the middle mouse button. With this setting CrossOver will also recognize selected text from an X application. You will need to enable support for this setting in the registry. To edit the registry for the current bottle, run the following command:
$ ~/cxoffice/bin/cxrun
Select the correct bottle, type in regedit for the command, run it and go to the following Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Clipboard and add the following line:
"UsePrimary" = "Y"
I understood this to mean add a new string value. So I added the string value UsePrimary = Y without using the quotations. The problem won't go away. Does anyone know what else I can do to fix this problem?

I got it working. The tech support advised me everyone has this problem and directed me to change a few files. Problem solved!
By the way, ms office is so much better than open office. I'm glad I have it working.
