Microsoft Getting Paid for Patents in Linux? (slashdot)
This thread http://linux.slashdot.org/linux/07/02/11/1443211.shtml on Slashdot (besides the usual MS hatered) did make me wonder what the consequences could be for linux (not just the desktop) in the comming future.
It is shocking to read that companies are actually paying MS to avoid lawsuits. What are your thoughts on this? Will GPL3 be any solution or is this something that without money is not avoidable?
