Microphone Constantly Active

In order to use team speak I have to turn the microphone volume up on the mixer, but then linux plays the sound the microphone picks up... This feedback/lookback is quite annoying. Any idea how to get rid of it?

I had a problem like this once--I had to use the command line program 'alsamixer', and I think it was either PCM capture or maybe one of the Mic lines that was causing the loop. I turned it all the way down, and it cured my problem.

If I turn it down tho then team speak can't capture the audio data.
