Messy Linux causes me headache !

reasons are:
1) 3 installation CDs, takes long time.
2) screw up internet connection
3) corrupt windows XP, fail to dual boot.
4) even if can dual boot, when uninstall linux, causes windows can not boot
5) sometimes linux does not support my VGA card, causes screen color problem, can not set maximum resolution.

Linux is CRAP !

You've been a member for three years (with almost 400 posts), and it took you that long to realize Linux is not for you? I've been using it for only four months, and I haven't had any of those problems. And... uh, there are many distros that are only one CD (both of the distros I use, as a matter of fact). Why does your sig say you support Linux and Windows, but your first post says "Linux is crap"?

1) 3 installation CDs, takes long time.

How many CD's does it take to install windows, MS Office, Photoshop and so forth?

2) screw up internet connection

Router, smoothwall box, etc... These days it's the only way to fly. Any OS, esp win.

3) corrupt windows XP, fail to dual boot.

Wooo Hooo!!!

4) even if can dual boot, when uninstall linux, causes windows can not boot

Woooo Hooo! More room for the next linux install!

5) sometimes linux does not support my VGA card, causes screen color problem, can not set maximum resolution.

NVidia rulz!

i used to using mandrake 9.2 on my old PC of AMD duron 1GHz. That PC was spoiled and now i use a PC of Celeron 2.4GHz, ATI Radeon 128MB AGP card.
The old mandrake 9.2 can not recognise my AGP card well, it gives me only 640x480 resolution, if i set it higher, the screen gone crazy!
for 1 year i never touched linux, coz i was happy with XP.
recently i discovered that mandrake is now mandriva, it stirs my interest again, so i download the mandrivamove, it works fine and i can setup my broadband easily, so i decided to fully install mandriva, i downloaded 3CDs image files and burned them.
After full installation, scree resolution and sound work well, but the broadband does not work.
if u want to know my problem,

Look, there's no need for this. If you can't handle Linux, and
you like XP, stick with it.

I've had bad experiences with Windows (2.0 - XP SP2) and
don't go about trying to make its name mud on Windows-help
forums - I expect you to behave yourself, too.

Cheers,
Tink

Don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out, we don't want your butt-prints on our door.

No, it's not that no one CAN help, it's no one WILL help. You act like a troll and then whine that nobody leaps in to solve your problems? You're kidding, right? If you REALLY expected this post to engender anything but hostility, you'd better hire a psychologist, and a damn good one too.

Closed for obvious reasons....

Futurist, if you really need help, simply ask your questions. If you continue to act like a troll in your threads and questions, your threads will be closed and you should really go find another forum to ask your crappy useless questions in. The members are here to help but when you act like a fscking whiny baby in your threads and only say Linux is crap, don't expect any help from the people who come here in their own spare free time to help the helpless and clueless like yourself.

If you don't like these rules that I clearly know you are aware of (being warned many many times in the past about these such threads) simply leave and don't come back. No need to email jeremy, a moderator or anyone, just go away if you don't want to recieve valid help from valid community members on a free Linux site.
