Messed up fonts..

Hi..

I'm a newbie to linux using Libranet 2.8. In experimenting with fonts, i decided to install all my TrueType fonts from my Windows XP partition.

Now in GAIM, except when I choose to override user fonts, all the spaces typed out by the person I'm talking to appear as boxes.. it is rather irritating.
