I just got DSL and it is awesome. I only have one problem. Messages wont stop appearing about packets being denied from different ip addresses across the internet. The pop up when I am logged in as root or any other user. They also pop up at the log in screen.
I am running a firewall (PMFirewall) as well as syslog. The only way I can get them to stop is to stop the firewall (which I dont want to do) or stop the syslog (which I dont want to do because I am using LogChecker to check them). Anyone have an idea of how to stop the messages? |
Most likely /etc/syslog.conf or PMFirewall itself is bouncing messages to the console.
