Memory Stick Duo Pro / Card Reader: Trouble!

Hello,

I'm trying to access a Memory Stick Duo Pro 256MB on my Mandrake 10.0 running Siemens-Nixdorf Scenic Mobile 510AGP notebook, using a USB 8-in-1 Card Reader, but unfortunately to no avail! :(

Inserting a Memory Stick Duo or a MMC or a SD just works perfectly fine, Mandrake recognizes these medias, and mounts them automatically, only the MS Duo Pro seems to be causing some problems.

So I tried to mount the Pro on my Mac G5 with another card reader, and what a surprise, my Mac recognized and mounted the Pro, and I could transfer files to and fro.

Next step was using the card reader from my Mac with the Mandrake notebook, and the Pro stick got recognized and mounted, but when I tried to trasnfer some files, only the first was copied, and then the system frozes!

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Martin

PS: Sorry for posting this one twice (see http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=236168), but I'm not sure where it's more fitting! :(
