Measure the time it takes to resume after hibernation

I am using a Fedora 17 operating system. I want to measure the time it takes for the system to resume after it has been put into hibernation. I have tried to deploy utilities like bootchart but they only seem to be useful only in case of a normal boot and not in a sleep mechanism like hibernate.My guess is it is not triggered after resuming as it does while a boot occurs.

Please suggest a way to measure the time it takes from after selecting the OS to the moment a user is handles control of his session.

On my Linux system, most of the activities the system performs when resuming after hibernation are in the system log, which includes time stamps. So if I wanted a rough idea how long it takes the system to resume, I'd look at the range of timestamps in the system log.
