MDK 9.1 Crashed again, QT3? Please help...Urgent B4 I hit the bottle!!
 

Please help!!!!!

My system has shafted itself (probably with my help) for the second time in two weeks.

Just installed Exine RPMs and then the screen went black, got a user and password login.
I logged in, tried startx as suggested for my previous crash. However this time I ended up at a strange desk top with sounds and Aliens themes.

Now when I boot up I end up with this crappy desktop called 'QT3' from what I can see from the docs.
Its got TERMINAL, Emacs, MOZILLA, 4 DTs, some scrolling graphics and the clock on the task bar. Where am I?

How can I get back to me lovely KDE Desktop?

I Did it, got the |KDE back up :)
I was going to re-install MDK, however I decided not to.
I re-installed the KDE libaries and some other stuff and hey presto!

Again, you're not constantly logging in as root are you?

Not constantly no. Only when I have to install RMPs or deal with TARballs.
Still learning though. However, my Kmail has gone :(
lost all my importand email.
Good job I backed up onto DAT.
I'll try to get it back.

Now not only has my Kmail gone, but also my kdat. So I can not restore my backup :( Going back to win2000, had enough.
Fed up with this now. The Back up via control center does not work either.
What a waste off time....
