Maximum Processes

Having previously installed several RedHat 6.2 servers, and having experienced problems exceeding the maximum number of processes the system can have, I have had to modify the kernel several times, using the NR_TASKS MAX_TASKS_PER_USER parameters.

Am I right when I say that these parameters don't exist in the kernel that comes with RedHat 7.2?

Can anyone help me change the system wide setting for this?

Thanks.
