Matroska Viedo Files

Good day. I have some video files that are in the .mkv format. I found out that this is from a group called Matroska. They are trying to standardize video & audio formats under their format. I am having a problem watching these files. I have Mandriva 2005SE & am using Kafiene 0.6. When I watch the file I can see the video with no problems, but there isn't any audio. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you for you help.

Try to watch it with MPlayer. It has a built-in Matroska demuxer. MPlayer can be downloaded from www.mplayerhq.hu.
