Question Mathematica software for Linux?


Is there a Linux version of Mathematica or a program similar to it?

can i suggest maybe going to http://google.com/linux and searching for mathematica. you should always try other approaches before posting threads like this.

and FYI yes it does exist. to find it try http://google.com/linux

There is Octave, which is a Matlab implementation. I am not aware of anything like Maple though.

maple runs fine under Linux. their claim to fame is Maple runs under * where * is any operating system.

I suggest you learn Maple. It is rather powerful, and well, it runs on *everything*
