Once again.. I have tried installing Mandrake Linux 9.2 and i get past the "testing mouse section" once that is done, small boxes of information saying "installing drivers" come up and then a box saying "please wait..."(and other words that I do not have time to read)

If anyone knows what is going wrong, please tell me!!!!

1.7 GHZ processor (not bad..but could be better)
384 MB DDR PC2100 ram
40 gig HDD and 15 gig HDD <--soon to be replaced with an 80gig HDD

If any solutions can be found, I would appreciate

One week ago I was in the same boat doing my MDK 9.2 install. This site is the best!!!

In the boot process, when it says to do an interactive startup you need to press "i", Press "i" and the computer will ask if it should load each item.

This will allow you to go thru the steps one at a time and see which item is causing the problem. You may be able to skip it if it keeps hanging and fix it once you get to the desktop.
