Making some programs default and another questions...
Hi!!!
I've tried to search at the forum, but have not seem these question around.
I'm using RedHat 9.0 with BlackBox and Midnight Commander as my File Manager. I was wondering how to make some programs to become defaults.
For exemple, if I press enter into a Midnight Commander file named "my_movie.mpg", it automatically starts mplayer. But how would I do for example to set xine to be as default (not that I want, but just an example ). Or how to make mozilla open if I try to open an .html file? That would help me a lot.
Another question is... Being using RedHat for a long while now and becoming more and more lazy with it's gui's and tools, I have a general wondering... How can I install or remove programs without any toys and into the command line? (non-x)
Any help with any of those questions would be great.

I don't think you are blunt. Perhaps objetive and that's cool in a forum . When I start a tread, I tell a long long story about the Linux I'm using and all the problem I need help to fix.... Usually I got very few replies cause clearly, many fall asleep reading my novel hehe
