making shortcut keys

Hello,

I am using RedHat 8.0, and I was wondering if there is a way to add key-shortcuts into it so that i do not have to use the mouse so much. To be more specific I would like to make a key shortcut for logging out, locking the screen, poweroff, etc. Is there anyway to do this?

Thanks,

I'm using my .fluxbox/keys
for setting that up ... if you told
us about your Window-manager,
maybe ... ?

Mod1 Control l :xscreensaver-command -lock
for example ... I remember that KDE has some
settings like these hidden in the Control Center :}

Cheers,
Tink

I know where to change the ones in the control panel. But there is no way for me to create my own to do what I want.
