Cool making flux look real nice

I was hoping someone might be able to help me here, i want to make fluxbox look real nice.

http://www.deadmule.com/images/tmp/big.jpg

on that screenshot, down in the bottom left there are those box thingies outlining what is on each workspace?
how do i get those?

also how to i change the background?

I have the fluxbox conf tool

also is it possible to have those same box thingies (above) with blackbox?

cheers

any other ideas on making it look real nice would be much appreciated

I have been to www.freshmeat.net and www.deviantart.com

both awesome sites by the way

BBpager is the name of the desktop switcher. Available at http://bbtools.thelinuxcommunity.org/ It will work fine in blackbox also. Read the fluxbox site for a how-to on how to change background http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/

you can have backgrounds added to your themes so that a different theme has a background associated with it or to override the themes default background add a line like this to your ~/.fluxbox/init file:

session.screen0.rootCommand: bsetbg -f ~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/george.bush.Is.Fucking.stupid.frat.boY.who.does.not.speak.for.all.americans.png

Although bbpager will work with Flux, flux has it's own pager too, called fluxter so you might go search for it. Also if you compiled flux with slit support, then you can get some really useful and nice dockapps and load them up.

TAB on bbpager

I have bbpager working with Fluxbox, but it has the fluxbox TAB sitting on top of it.

Does anyone know how to suppress the TAB other than running it in the slit?

Update:
I have worked around the issue by placing The Tabs on the Right edge of the Windows and then placing bbpager so the Tab is out of sight off the edge of the screen, but I am sure when I had bbpager working with a previous release of Fluxbox/Mandrake I was able to get it working without a Tab.

I can't install either fluxter or bbpager (I'm using fluxbox). When I do ./configure it says theres no XOpenDisplay on -lX11.
What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Thanks
