What distro are you trying to install? If it is slackware have you check their website for instllation help?

in redhat put in the first cd during u r using the win98 or wt ever..
there is the dir dosutils go in it ...execute the program rawrite
it will ask u for the bootable image path .....when finished ur bootable floopy is ready boot from it ..it will automatically transfer control to cd for instalaltion

i did check out slackware, but when it trys to format the harddrive i get an error.
