making an ISO of the OS without user accounts

I'm going to make an iso of my entire system for an updated installation liveCD, but don't want the iso to have an old copy of my user account. How can I leave the user account out?

From my understanding that's not how you package ISOs. You use squashfs tools to extract the system to a directory. chroot. Customize packages. Then recompress the system into a squashfs to be booted live. I've done it a few times and that's generally the process. I don't know of a way to convert a currently running system into a live OS to be run on a CD.

*edit* if it helps long ago I created a tutorial outlining my process and shared it with other users. Perhaps it can be adapted for your own purposes as the same methods should still apply.

There is also another option if you want to create a custom OS based on openSUSE with your name on it, if you don't mind spending a little time designing it. It can be created as an .iso or bootable liveCD and can be set up on a USB stick. There are countless options.

Check out Suse studio and see if it fits your needs.
