makeing Find command not case sensitive? -ilname isnt working.

ok i read the man pages like 10 times. This dam thing just isnt working. I'm trying to search for *.tgz and have it display all .tgz on the system no matter what their case is. The man page says to use -ilname but i cannot get this to work for the life of me. Here's the comamnds i've tryed

find / -ilname '*.tgz'
find / -ilname *.tgz
find / -ilname "*.tgz"

help!

The -ilname option in find is for finding symbolic links. If you want regular files then choose the -iname option.
Code:

find / -iname '*.tgz'

or

find test -name '*.[Tt][Gg][Zz]'
