And I suppose you have ncurses installed ?? It clearly states in your error that it can't find the libs for it.

Your kidding right ?? http://www.gnu.org/directory/GNU/ncurses.html

It basically displays and updates text on text only terminals.

Here is my output for the libraries on my Slack system. Probably should have something similiar.
Code:
drew@lotus:/usr/lib# ls -al libncurses*
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root       392216 Nov 20  2000 libncurses.a
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           20 Nov 24 08:09 libncurses.so -> /lib/libncurses.so.5*
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root      3499594 Nov 20  2000 libncurses_g.a
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root       412374 Nov 20  2000 libncurses_p.a
So yeah, you should have a symlink of libncurses.so to your libncurses.so.5
