Unhappy make from an child directory.

Hi,

This is my directory structure:

Directory dir1 has the foll files/dirs:
Makefile try1/ other files

I want to execute make -f Makefile (in dir1) from a Makefile in try1 directory...

apparantly i cannot say
cd /dir1/Makefile

in Makefile in try1, as each command in the make file executes in a separate shell.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks

Ashlesha.
