mail relay problem..

I've install sendmail on my server in Rehat 7.1 using imap.

The problem is tat i can send mail internally using Outlook Express and not outside mail addresses eg yahoo mail. Is it something wrong with my DNS setting or other ??

Pls advise...

the error msg in outlook express...

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'cspoh77@yahoo.com'. Subject '111111111', Account: 'Steel', Server: '10.1.3.3', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <cspoh12@yahoo.com>... Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [10.1.3.228]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

You either need to allow relaying on your server or use your own outgoing smtp address if your using the yahoo outgoing smtp. If I understood how you have it setup ?? Let us know !

I think something like
10.1.3.228 RELAY
in the access file of the server should solve the problem.
