mail from the system


sometimes I got eh message when I log into Linux, it said I have mail in /var/spool/mail/oracle (b/c I log in as oracle)

I look the mail b/c some mistype command, nothing serious. the question is "can I delete this file on /var/spool/mail" ???? What is this mail for, is it important????

It's usually just utilised for status/error messages.
You can delete the file, though. Cron will recreate
it if an error occurs.
