Mail configuration for Mutt
I'm trying to use Mutt, but when I try to send a message, it gets bounced back telling me that the domain of localhost.localdomain is not valid.
I have no problem sending from Pine, though. Where is the configuration file for the mail settings? Thanks, Phil |
What MTA are you using? If sendmail, make sure you configure for "smart host". Here is the file I used to configure mine:
Code:
divert(-1) sendmail - postfix - sends mail to local users (and internet when configured correctly) fetchmail - gets mail from internet accounts (non-Hotmail type) procmail - sorts and delivers into separate mailboxes mutt - mail client that sucks less than all the others Email the Linux Way Suresh Ramasubramanian's email guide The Linux Mail User HOWTO The Linux Electronic Mail Administrator HOWTO SquirrelMail web mail Why use Hotmail when there is LinuxMail? Gotmail, a utility to download mail from Hotmail type accounts |
Wow, thanks! All the information I was looking for!
