hi

i got the source code for a mail client which is quite old
written in c++;
when i try to compile it its giving me an warning deprecated
usage . so i used it with -Won-deprecated option on g++

now the problem is that i dont know on which linux platform
this program was developed ; and i also dont have a readme file
so its pretty hard to make up :

the only help provided was a set of commands like

#g++ -o compose.c /var/www/cgi-bin/compose.cgi;
#g++ -o delete.c /var/www/cgi-bin/delete.cgi;
.......
....

and another set of command which i didnt understand what it was

like

#chown apache:apache /var/www/cgi-bin/compose.cgi
#chown apache: apache /var/www/cgi-bin/delete.cgi

and lly for the rest of the file ...

now can someone tell me what exactly will this program is about
(the only thing i know is that its a mail client)

any help :-(

i forgot to add , i didnt compile on my rh9 . the error was the use of a meathod begin

eg: string pass, user;
...
...
function(pass.begin()); //error type mismatch
function(user.beging()); //error type mismatch

where as the function is expecting an argument whose type is char*

can someone help me with this ..
any suggestions are welcome plz....
