macintosh / linux
The biggest problem with linux is gaming. My store bought games only run winblows. This sux for me because I want so much to be able to ditch the M$ and rely only on my Kanotix.
So... My question being is, Linux is becoming a lot more Mac friendly, does this mean that Mac programs (such as games) will be capable of running on a x86 linux system? Am I going to need an emulator (wine) etc...?
Clearly, any program specifically requiring Macintosh's unique architecture probably wouldn't work, and frankly I've never owned a Mac, or ventured to far into the Linux compatible games, so forgive me if I ask a stupid questions like a newbie. I just fiqured this would be the best place to start by asking questions.
As my ending statement. I hope one day to be able to simply pop in a cd into my linux box and play the game or install software without jumping through to many hoops, and without losing to much security.
All comments are appreciated, thank you.
