Mac vs. Linux in gaming -- which has better commercial games(including Cedega/Wine)?

Between Windows, Mac and Linux Windows is by far the easiest and most cost effective solution for mainstream gaming. Now I'm interested in evaluating the #2 spot...

1. Assuming a user has just Wine installed (any distro) as well as 3d accelerated graphics, are there more mainstream shooter/rpg video games available for a linux platform or a MAC platform?

2. Assuming a user has purchased Cedega (or built from CVS), same question?

I realize that Macs can now (in 2007 C.E.) use Bootcamp or other 3rd party variants to do what we've been doing on our PCs for years (think Windows98 + Windows 2000 + Windows XP + Linux + Dr.DOS + BSD + _____). But multiboot approach isn't what I'm looking at, rather 'native' gaming on each OS.

I would say they would be the same as wine/cedega/crossoveroffice is just ported to mac, but Linux is always more flexible, in terms of hardware - you don't have that many choices on the hardware for Mac.
