Using RHEL you have all the docs at hand, your starting point being
The Red Hat LVM2 Resource Page which has links to the various HOWTO's, LVM2 Wiki and prolly also
The Red Hat Knowledge Base. One word of caution if I may. If you search LQ for problems related to filesystems and filesystem management there's two things that stand out from the rest: ReiserFS and LVM. If you read the average "urgent urgent urgent, I've got porbelms with teh lvm (add gazillion exclamation marks)" you see that, regardless of how or what caused the problem, LVM is something you only want to mess with if you know you need it and can't get what you need in another way. BTW, if you grok the concepts of community and reciprosity and value LQ you should reply to the Linux Security Policy Document thread you opened.
