Hi,
I'm trying to understand exactly what LSB is all about. I've read some of what is on
http://linuxbase.org and I tried slogging through parts of the specs but I have a couple questions.
I think LSB 2.0 is supposed to be a set of standards for the various distros to follow so that any application (written according to the LSB spec) can run on any distro that follows the LSB spec.
1) Is that above statement correct? And am I missing anything else that is fundamental to the whole LSB thing?
2) Also, does the LSB address the fact that distros all seem to have their own different directory paths to various libraries?
Thanks guys,
Al
