ls either directories together

I want to ls either /home/oper* or /home/mon*.
I can do it in two commands:
ls /home/oper*
ls /home/mon*

Is there a way to do in one command?
This does not work:
ls /home/oper*|/home/mon*
ls /home/oper*\|/home/mon*
