logname: no login name, -bash: [: too many arguments


When every anybody logins into the RHEL3 system this is what they get
logname: no login name
-bash: [: too many arguments
logname: no login name
-bash: [: too many arguments
But it doesn;t stop people from logging in.

any inputs?

I'd have a look at the execution of /etc/profile
and the others bash may pull during login...

Looks like some sort of bash syntax error.
