Logical Volume Extensions

I want to extend a logical volume on my system. The logical volume that needs to be extend is on partition /dev/sdb, but my free space is on /dev/sdd. How do I apply the free space on /dev/sdd to my partition on /dev/sdb so I can extend my LV?

I got it figured out.

pvcreate /dev/sdd1

vgextend vgname /dev/sdd1

lvextend -L+10G /dev/vgname/partition

resize2fs /dev/vgname/partition

Then it worked.
